To my Companions in Royal Arch Masonry

The Grand First Principal Most Excellent Companion Roland P. Mandeville invites you to attend the 154th Convocation of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Canada in the Province of Ontario, at the Quality Hotel & Suites and Convention Centre, 580 Bruin Blvd., Woodstock, Ontario, on April 19th, April 20th and 21st, 2012.

The governance and performance of your Grand Chapter is subject to yearly review and ratification by its members.  Elections for key Grand Chapter Offices are conducted and concluded by their installation.  As a current or past Principal, you have the ability to shape the future of Capitular Masonry in your district and across the province. Your vote and participation is important.

The social program for the convocation promotes fellowship and provides opportunities for our “personal companions” including our ladies and guests, to attend some functions before and during the official business sessions of Grand Chapter.  The City of Woodstock and is full of sights to explore and partake thereof.

 Thursday, April 19st

The Credential Committee will register delegates in the Burtch Room on Thursday evening the 19th day of April 2012 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Grand First Principal’s social “Meet and Greet” will be at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., hosted by Most Excellent Companion Roland P. Mandeville and his wife Lynette in the Vansittart Room. At this time you have the opportunity to renew old acquaintances, meet new friends, and be received by your Grand Council in an informal atmosphere.  Enjoy a cold buffet, making your own sandwich of assorted meats, potato salad, pasta salad and assorted mini sweets with a cash bar. Advance ticket admission $20.00 per person.

Friday, April 20th

The Credential Committee will register delegates in the Burtch Room on Friday, the 20th day of April 2012 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm when the registration books will be closed. Voting will take place from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Grand Chapter will open promptly at 9:00 a.m. and call off at approximately 2:30 p.m. for the day.

Friday, April 20th

Lynette Mandeville will host the Ladies Program in the Altadore Room from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The first part of the program will be a talk by Laurie Taciuk on Autism. The remainder of the program will involve the ladies in pottery and finger painting on glasses. Ladies be sure not to miss this event. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon.

Advanced Ticket Admission $20:00 per Person

Grand First Principal’s Banquet.

Social hour - 5:30 p.m.  Cash Bar.  Banquet at 6:30 p.m. 

Menu will consist of Salad with a choice of two dressings; Chicken Breast stuffed with spinach, sundried tomatoes and herbed cream cheese and Fresh Fruit Cup, tea and coffee.

Advanced Ticket Admission $45:00 per Person. Head Table will be piped in. This will be held in the Vansittart Room.

Entertainment

Music with a West Indian flavour by Traces Steelband and Joe Lovell as the main contributor. Joe has been playing with the steelband for several years and will entertain you with soft music near the end of the dinner period. Joe will entertain questions at the end of the sessions as well as demonstrate how to plat tge intricasies of the steelpan. This entrepreneur is dedicated to musical growth, good fellowship and public service through performance.

 Saturday, April 21st

Grand Chapter Session resumes at 8:30 a.m. and will close by noon.

A complimentary hospitality room will be available in the Joe Boyle Room for all Ladies from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Coffee, Tea, Juice, Fresh Fruit Platter will be available

Our business and social programs being concluded, we depart with safe journey to our own communities to work in harmony with our Chapters and District for another year.

As your General Chairman, I am supported by the Grand Chapter Office as well as other dedicated representatives in developing your program.  I hope that you, in addition to your fellow and personal companions, can join us for this annual occurrence of renewing our ties to Royal Arch Masonry in Ontario.
