All RAMON Chapter and District Web Sites, currently on the Internet, will cooperate and register their Web Sites and obtain their RAMON pproval Icon as soon as possible. (A limited time period will be allowed for this compliance.)
A Chapter Web Site should be centered on the events of the Chapter. Links to other Chapter Sites in you District are encouraged, however, you must ensure that the other Chapter wishes your link and that they display the RAMON APPROVAL ICON!
Web Site pages and their content existing at the time of approval and maintaining compliance with the RAMON Web Site Policies, may display copies of the RAMON ICON.

Chapter Web Sites will make every effort to be linked on their District Web Site.

Counters and guests books must be free of advertisements. Most ISPs (Internet Service Providers) have free counters available. If you require a guest book, it is recommended that you use an ISP that supports Microsoft Front Page extensions as they have a built-in guest book feature, or use an ISP that will allow you to do CGI Scripting. Guest books should be visited and/or edited, everyday if possible, to ensure proper conduct. If unable to do so, it is wise to by-pass this feature.
Remember that you are not a spokesman for the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Canada in the Province of Ontario.
DO NOT duplicate the information found on the Grand Chapter Web Site. Duplication of information on the Grand Chapter Web Site will not be permitted. However, providing a link to a particular Grand Chapter page, or a directory, is acceptable.
DO NOT provide links to other Chapters or Lodges or Grand Chapters or Grand Lodges that the Grand Chapter and the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario does not recognize. When you are in doubt, do not link.
Be sure that you have permission to publish any article, photograph or image. Masonic literature is covered under the Copyright Act.
Pictures or images should be kept as small as possible as they take considerable time to download, the recommended format is “jpeg” for pictures and “gif” for most graphics if they do not contain gradient fills.
The use of buttons to present another part of your site is good, because it keeps the main page clean. A counter, to show the activity level, will provide you with a gauge of the effectiveness or your site Visit our Web Master help page for Web Site utilities and tips.
The opening screen should identify you in a clear manner. Your Web Site should use tasteful colour schemes, standard fonts and small, quick loading graphics. The links should not be ambiguous, but be marked clearly. Avoid the use of an unfinished link, i.e.: nothing turns off a seasoned surfer faster than an “UNDER CONSTRUCTION” graphic.
Linking to other District and Chapter Web Sites requires thorough research by the Web Master. If there is any doubt, do not link! You may not wish another site to link to you as a result of a poorly planned and implemented page. Your Web Master must carefully research links to other sites, especially those in other jurisdictions. It must be carefully established that the Web Site to which you are linking is one that is in amity with and recognized by our Grand Chapter. View the contents of the link. If there are things there that you or others feel are controversial or not in keeping with good taste or Masonic teachings, do not link to it. Others will probably find these, but it should not be our duty to lead them there. If you are in doubt, do not link!
The RAMON Approved Icon will be entrusted to all Royal Arch Web Sites, within the jurisdiction of RAMON, who have received written approval from the Computer Resources Committee of RAMON.
